These are available here.įor those familiar with Python, I have developed a Python program called gerber2pdf that converts Gerber files to PDF so they can be viewed and printed easily with the Acrobat viewer. Gareth Conner has written some tools for Vectorworks (the CAD package) to add schematic capture capability and export NetList and PartList files to Osmond PCB. A modified version of the second script, provided by Don Heavener, is available here. The first is for flat designs and the second is for heirarchic designs. If you have experience with it, please write a short review of it at. It runs on the Mac and is free for designs with fewer than 700 pins. Graham Hinton has provided two DesignWorks forms that produce Osmond compatible Part List and Net List information from a DesignWorks design. We just added Osmond PCB to our list of free CAD software. This version only knows how to build a few QFP and TQFP packages from 32 to 128 pins." Find it here. Roderick Mann writes: "Osmond Part Maker is a little Java command line utility I wrote to help me build certain kinds of parts for Osmond. Robert also has a new Osmond PCB web page containing very nice Lua script examples. FPGA to Osmond, generates DesignWorks and Osmond library elements from a Xilinx partgen file. Slider Writer, foot print generator for capacitive sliders and buttons. Other Tools Robert Rau has written three tools for Osmond which you can find here.ĭevice Placer, pre-locate up to 4 concentric rings of devices. Licenses are available at the Purchase page. If your design has over 700 pins, you will need to purchase a license to print, or to output Gerber files, or to output Postscript files. The program is fully functional and allows you to design boards up to 700 pins without restriction. This is a Universal Binary for both Intel and PowerPC machines running MacOS X 10.5 or later. Although the User Interface is modern, the algorithms and methodology are based on a legacy of design going back over a decade. Quotes requested via PCB Directory are routed to manufacturer of the solder paste mixer.OsmondCocoa was designed using the latest Cocoa application framework. They can then view mixer specifications, download spec sheets and get a quote. Users can specify the rotating speed and other parameters to find equipment that meets their requirement. PCB Directory has listed Solder Paste Mixing Equipment from the leading manufacturers in the industry and made it easy for users to find Solder Paste Mixers based on their requirement. Jar Diameter: It represents the maximum diameter of the jar in which the solder is held. For example, a machine can have a working capacity of 500 g x 2 pots i.e can hold 2 jars with 500 gms of solder at a time. Working Capacity: It represents how much weight the machine can handle. Rotating Speed: It is the rotating speed of the container in the machine and is represented in RPM. Revolution Speed: It is the speed of the jar rotating itself with respect to its own axis, and is represented in RPM. Mixing Angle: It is the angle of the solder paste jar placed into the machine with respect to the X-axis, and is represented in degrees. Mixing Time: It is the maximum time required by the machine to complete the mixing of solder paste. The deaeration time usually varies from 0.1 to 9.9 seconds. Deaeration is the process of removing air bubbles in the solder paste. Key Specification of solder paste mixing equipment:ĭeaeration time: It is the time required for the deaeration of solder paste by the machine. In addition, the machine also eliminates the fine air bubbles that can cause solder ball scattering. The solder particles settled at the bottom of the jar due to their high specific gravity are uniformly dispersed, and the paste returns to its original consistent viscosity form. The machine rotates the jar in a way that results in deaeration and mixing of solder at the same time. Solder paste is placed inside a jar and put into the solder paste mixing machine. Solder paste can be mixed using a Solder paste mixer. To ensure consistent viscosity, the solder paste needs to be mixed. When stored, the viscosity of the solder paste can change as solder particles with a high specific gravity settle at the bottom of the jar. However, when the solder paste needs to be used, we can not just use it straight out of the tub. Refrigeration ensures that the solder paste maintains its properties for a longer period of time and thereby increase the shelf life of solder. Solder paste is usually stored in a refrigerator when kept over a long period of time.
